Round Midnight Drama Summer School 2010Round Midnight Drama Summer Schools are designed for young people who are passionate about the performing arts, dance, drama, music and singing. They will be part of a professional theatrical company, working to a rigorous schedule in order to achieve a production of the highest artistic standard.
During the week long course the young people will be involved in all aspects of creating a production, culminating in a final show of epic proportions. The young performers will work with professional actors, directors, musicians and choreographers from Round Midnight Ltd.
No other summer school gives its members so much access to industry professionals who are able to offer insights of the best way into the performing arts.

The sleepy village of Merrywood is awoken one early summer morning to the “Yarrgghh” of the rowdy pirates, who have dropped anchor in the village
pond!
The villagers are most distressed because in a weeks time the judges from the “Britain Is Smashing” competition will be arriving in Merrywood.
Can Merrywood retain its title of the loveliest village in England? Only if the villagers can persuade the pirates to swap marauding for flower arranging,
looting for cake decoration and splicin’ the mainbrace for cricket on the village green. Will Captain Gingerbeard ruin Merrywood's chances in the
competition or can the pirates teach the villagers a thing or two about enjoying themselves?
You'll have to act sing and 'yarrgghh' as if your life depends on it!!

Anna Bandana is a child superstar who has everything that a young girl could dream of. Fans, bodyguards and a crazy stalker who collects her breath in Evian bottles. Anna Bandana is the most famous face on the planet but she is getting sick of it so Anna goes absent without leave (AWOL). Taking matters into her own hands Anna disguises herself as a young girl named Molly Nobody. She gives her celebrity world the slip and goes to stay with her pen pal Maud in a little town called Dullsville. Looking to get away from her extreme lifestyle, Anna soon finds out, that the only things that are extreme in Dullsville are the rules handed out by evil slimeball Pat Testing and his Safety Squad. Will the people of Dullsville uncover the truth about the new arrival to their town? Will the police be able to track Anna down? And will we find out what the deal is with rubber gloves in Dullsville? You'll have to act sing and dance as if your life depends on it...because it does.

Claire Downes – Producer Claire is a young persons acting coach and has worked for The BBC, Walt Disney Television and Ealing Films. Claire also works closely with casting agents and directors and helps find young actors for feature films and television. Claire has appeared in the films Anita and Me and Nanny McPhee. Claire has produced Round Midnight Summer Schools since 1995.
Emmi Isham - Director Emmi is an actor, arts practitioner and director and has been working with Round Midnight for over 10 years. She studied at Lancaster University.
Philip Hyde – Co-Director Phil took part in the first Summer Schools that Round Midnight produced 15 years ago. Since finishing University Phil has worked with Round Midnight and its youth theatre – Raw Talent.
Josh Tonks – Choreographer Josh is a gifted young dancer who has choreographed Round Midnight Theatre Summer Schools for a number of years.
